This training is designed for all users of the analytical X-ray device.
The uOttawa X-ray Safety Program mandates that personnel who will be working with the Analytical X-ray Device complete this training. Topics covered in this material include:
- Legislation
- X-ray fundamentals
- Biological and health effects
- X-ray safety in the laboratory
To receive your training certificate, you need to complete the training quiz and achieve a score of at least 75%.
If you will be working with an open X-ray beam machine, this training alone is not sufficient. Please contact rad.safety@uottawa.ca for additional guidance and requirements.
