X-Ray Safety Training – For Analytical X-ray Device Users

This training is designed for all users of analytical X-ray device. If you will be working with an open X-ray beam device, please contact rad.safety@uottawa.ca for assistance.

The uOttawa X-ray Safety Program mandates that personnel who will be working with Analytical X-ray Device must review a designated web-based training material with the submission of an X-ray User Registration Form to become an authorized user.

Please follow the steps below to complete the training:

• Review the “Analytical X-ray Device Safety” web-based training material. Topics covered in this material include:
  • Legislation
  • Sources and use of X-ray
  • Biological and health effect
  • X-ray safety in the lab
• Complete an X-ray User Registration Form and send it to OCRO rad.safety@uottawa.ca to receive your training certificate
