This training is offered to staff who handle Personal Health Information.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain awareness of what is considered Personal Health Information and who has the right to collect, use, disclose and dispose of Personal Health Information.
- Protect the confidentiality of the information and the privacy of individuals: your general responsibilities and contractual obligations.
- Ensure that you understand the elements of consent, the different types of consent, and when it is authorized to collect, use, and disclose Personal Health Information.
- Handle requests for access, correction, lockbox and withdrawal of consent.
- Handle a privacy breach
