Learn about Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AWS Educate, a program that provides an academic gateway for the next generation of information technology and cloud professionals. We want to make sure you know about all the resources available to you, at no cost, as part of your AWS Educate membership, including access to cloud content, the ability to earn digital credentials, and access to cloud jobs and internships on the AWS Educate Job Board. AWS Educate is Amazon’s global initiative to provide students and educators with the resources needed to accelerate cloud-related learning. AWS Educate offers on-line training for up to 11 Cloud related career paths. Each platform has 30+ hours of self-paced on-line learning.

About the Speaker:

Fahd leads efforts to develop and localize cloud computing education and adoption programs for the Canadian Public Sector including government, health care, education and non-profit. In this role, he focuses on workforce development, promoting diversity and inclusion, education and cyber security. Prior to joining Amazon in 2018, Fahd led large-scale fraud and anti-money laundering implementations at SAS Institute, a leading data analytics firm. Fahd is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) witch experience in risks, methods, and preventative framework of money laundering and terrorism financing. Fahd is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) with proven results in incorporating Agile framework in multi-million dollar initiatives and national cloud computing programs. Fahd has a Bachelor degree of Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, from the University of Waterloo and holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Wilfrid Laurier University. Fahd is fluent in multiple languages including French.
