Target Audience: Students wishing to explore research and/or to pursue a career in research and its funding sources and opportunities in Canada.
Description:
This workshop will cover the major funding programs and funding suite supporting research in Canada. The session will review and discuss funding programs supporting research and research projects at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanity research council (SSHRC) and at the Canadian Institute of health research (CIHR). We propose to review and discuss the funding programs, eligibility criteria, evaluation criteria, submission and approbation process.
