Ergonomics
Identifying, assessing, and controlling hazards and risks are essential parts of an Occupational Health Safety Program. Everyone – directors, supervisors and employees, have a role to play in identifying hazards and risks and creating safer workplaces.
Musculoskeletal risk factors should be identified and addressed, just like any other workplace hazards that may affect the health and safety of workers. However, supervisors and employees do not always know what to look for when it comes to risks associated with poor ergonomics.
This session for supervisors and managers will discuss:
- What is ergonomics
- What are risk factors associated with poor ergonomics
- What are musculoskeletal disorders
- Addressing risk factors: role and responsibilities of supervisors
