Winter 2021 Program

The Career Development Program for International Students (CDPIS) offers various workshops held over four weeks both in French AND in English. If you want to know how to benefit from networking events or how to ace an interview, this program is for you! Learn all about employability in Canada, job search strategies and immigration and become CDPIS certified.

Week 1 –  Welcome

Join us as we explore a variety of Job Search Strategies and Tips for International Students. Get to know some of our students and hear what they have to say about their experience looking for a job in Canada.

Week 2 – Job Search Tools

Job Search can be daunting but not as much if you are equipped with the right tools. Join us while we explore different types of resumes and cover letter. We will be providing you with a range of ideas and tricks to ace your resume and cover letter.

Week 3 – Get Hired! Jobs and Networking

Where are the jobs? Where to look? Join us as we discuss ways to network, create an elevator pitch and plenty of tips and advice on where to begin your job search.

Date: March 1, 2021
Time: 2:30 p.m.

Week 4 – Bridging into the Workplace

I found a job! What now? Join us in this Webinar where we will explore different ways to communicate in the workplace and how to take care of yourself.

This workshop is bilingual, which means French, English or both languages will be used, depending the preference of the participants.

Therefore, you must be able to understand and follow instructions in both official languages.
