Description de cours :

Initiation course in basic French for authentic beginners focusing on the four skills: comprehension and oral and written expression. Introduction to listening to audio (-visual) documents and reading short texts. Introduction to conversation and the production of short and simple texts. To the extent possible, use of authentic documents and situations from the office environment. This course is intended for people with no prior knowledge of the French language. Students who already have French bases are strongly encouraged to enroll in FLS1810.

Introduction to basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Listening practice with audio / audiovisual materials. Reading practice with short texts. Basic conversation practice and short writing tasks. Authentic material drawn from the university context will be used wherever possible. Individual and group practice. This course is designed for individuals with no prior knowledge of French.
